At Slic, you'll join talented, hardworking people who work together to bring broadband Internet to unserved regions of rural New York. Providing company wide support for all of our Central Operations Networks, you'll administer our Broadband, Telephone and IPTV related switches, routers, middleware, firewalls and transport equipment. Working closely with Central Office Technicians, Installation Teams, Customer Service Representatives, Plant Engineers and other Managers within the Company, network administration plays a critical role in deliver great services to our customers.

•Analyze and isolate issues
•Maintain networks and systems that provide services to our customers
•Monitor networks to ensure security and availability
•Document troubleshooting and support processes
•Participate in on call rotation that includes responsibility for Network Health 24/7
•Execute field replacement of failed transport equipment, connecting generators during power outages and keeping leadership updated and informed during any escalated outage
•General networking knowledge, including LAN, WAN, VLAN's, routing, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP and other networking protocols
•System administration skills including analysis, configuration and deployment of servers and applications
•Familiar with major server operating systems, storage systems, and cloud base services
Experience with user and account management, security and monitoring.
